Social Scottish Country Dancing is a great way for people of all ages to keep fit, and is a form of social recreation which can be carried on into active old age with continuous development.

12-WEEK BEGINNERS COURSE (age 10 or 11, to 90, if reasonably fit!)
Start Date: Saturday 16 August 2008
End Date: Saturday 1 November 2008
Twelve lessons in Social Scottish Country Dancing each Saturday, from 1-3 pm.    No previous experience is needed - we'll teach you well!    There is no need to bring a partner.    Good fun, good company, and keep healthy, fit and and alert.    On completion of the course dancers are able to attend the Branch's regular weekly classes (all held at Malak Community Centre) and/or dance interstate and internationally, for further years of lifelong enjoyment and development.

CHILDREN'S CLASS: 5:30 - 6:45 pm every Monday.
This class is for children aged 8 to 13, of all nationalities; beginners are welcome.    It takes children from beginners level and develops rythm, phrasing, physical control and balance, teamwork and social mixing.    As children develop, at about 10 to 11 years old they should be able to also participate in the main Branch class on Saturday afternoons and eventually the advanced class on Wednesday evenings.

All sessions are held at the Malak Community Centre, Malak Crescent, and are taught by experienced internationally qualified teachers.
