This morning I woke up sore from the golf ball bashing last night, so just happy to not do much and recover from the fact that I hadn't swung a golf club in about a year! Probably want to do something tonight or tomorrow, but not sure yet... plenty of time to figure it out, its not even 7pm yet :D

zzzzzz... feeling a bit lethargic today, as well as being sore. Went for a driving range session last night with Chris and some of his friends. Good fun (except for the fact that there were no drinks allowed there :P) especially with the golf ball pickup buggy thing being out there, funny how all these balls started following it around. :P 105 balls for $12 later, off to McDonalds and then to rent a DVD. Movie was pretty (actually, very) lame... called Torque... definitely B-Grade stuff... I think I could do better with some of the animations... hahaha :P

Got a call as I was about to leave work yesterday from Fel. She was in the city and wanted to meet up. Ended up having dinner with her, Vince and (uhh) one of their friends (Yes, I forgot their name :P) in Swanston St. Apart from the fact that they had PDAs to take orders with, it wasn't very memorable (the food that is). They lost half of our order (hence the irony of having PDAs) and then the woman was convinced that we had ordered two of something that we didn't. We tried to go get something at the "chocolate bar" (chocolate boutique cafe thing) in QV but it closes at 6:30pm on Tuesdays :(
Vince (Fel's bf) was going to some movie so her and I caught the train to her car and went for coffee. Hmm, that's why she wanted to meet up, so that she wouldn't be walking to her car alone :P haha Hmm.. today has gone past so quickly, its already lunchtime :D

My Sony clock radio thing was delivered today, although no one was home. Bah. Its one of the free things I redeemed from points. Much better than frequent flyer miles that end up not being able to be used cos the airlines are too booked up (or go bust, ala Ansett). Now I can say (in addition to the $25 fuel vouchers I've gotten previously) that those points haven't gone to waste :D
On a much more somber note, someone apparently committed suicide this morning in front (well, jumped in front) of a train. So had a hard time getting to work, but yeah, its so sad how for some people that they see no way out of whatever situation they are in. And all I could hear from some people were that they (the operators) can't run a decent service... *sigh* There are more important things than getting a train to run on time, in light of these circumstances.
Busy at work this week trying to calculate means... uggg, wish I could just work it out and be done with it :P At least I have Cor to bug (after 11am that is) when I'm so bored looking at Excel and wondering why the figures don't match those given by the system... :P

Overheard a family at dinner at the next table (not by choice mind you). The mother was drilling into her daughter that she shouldn't study rock/modern/non-classical music and that the violin was *the* instrument to learn, no other instrument would be of any success. Geez, some parents are just so overbearing.
So ends another work week and the obligatory rain had to fall, just in time for the weekend... hmm.. conspiracy theories ahoy! :D

Why is it that everything that I am trying to achieve is met with hurdles. Sometimes these hurdles are impossible to overcome. Not because I don't try, because they are dependent upon people and things out of my control. I can only hope that common sense prevails (unlike last time) *sighy* (thanks to Su Ann for that expression)The other hurdle I can think of will hopefully be overcome with patience and a bit of luck. ;)

Felt like wacking the stupid person sitting in front of me on the train today (facing me) that kept coughing, WITHOUT COVERING THEIR MOUTHS.... grrr. So stupid and unhealthy. So 35 mins of that, I started getting a sore throat. I know its only prolly pyschological that I am getting sick (whats the incubation period for a flu virus?) as I don't feel unwell now :P

Another weekend has gone by. Should be the other way around, 5 day weekend, 2 day workweek! :D
Downloaded Picasa just now, the "digital photo organiser". Very smooth piece of software (and another thing in the google empire finds its way into my life) :P Blogger (not so good interface now), GMail, Google (duh!) and now this. I use more Google products than Microsoft... hmmm :P

Surely if you are out to catch someone speeding, you don't park your car where there are no other cars parked on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere. This place was High Street Road, for those that know it, just at the top of the hill past Nortons Lane towards Wantirna South where the strawberry farm used to be. There is nothing but green grass around (not even the cows anymore).... Before anyone says anything, this place is between two very "typical" suburbs in Melbourne.
Hmm, the weekend is here. Weather: "snow on the nearby hills, 12" Damn... brrrrrr... perfect for sleeping in, curling up with a good book and a cup of hot chocolate. Unfortunately I will be doing none of those things :(

I must thank Gwen for introducing the word "bubble" into my vocabulary... :P Obviously its stuck :D Things have certainly bubbled along today, most of my work is done. Have a "staff briefing" (nothing like a 5 minute briefing though) tomorrow so have to plan my work around that.
Had yummy crepes with Fel tonight. Haven't seen her for ages, since before I went on my little trip and felt good catching up with her. Just little snippets of news here and there mixed in with jobs and stuff like that. I wouldn't have it any other way :)

Things are bubbling along fine this week. Lots to get done at work, and so far, the feedback has been positive :) Got my professional grad photos back from the photographers today, only 6 or so weeks since I ordered them :P

Another weekend has gone by and while its really good to have a weekend, looking back at it makes it sort of a waste. My uncle came from Toronto yesterday morning and flew to Sydney last night. Took him around a bit but ended up not really doing anything of note. Today was sleeping in day :D although it was only until about 9ish before I got up. Actually did some work work (not that I have any uni work now :P) to prepare for stuff I have to do next week. Not that I mind reading over it on the weekend, its actually kind of *shock horror* good to work on it. O_o :P
Got this from here:
Child: Dad, where did I come from?
Dad: Okay, we had to have this conversation some day! Dad and mom met in a chat room on the net. I set up a meeting with your mom and we landed in the bathroom at the Cyber Cafe. Then, mom did some downloads from dad's memory stick and when dad was ready to upload, we discovered that there was no "firewall". Seeing that it was a bit too late to cancel, I just carried on doing the upload. Nine months later, the damn virus appeared!!.
Child: Huh?

There is something going on. I can't put my finger on it but its kinda weird just experiencing it all, with no control over the events and only a vague idea of the overall outcome. Weird in a good way though, I've learnt to accept that there are just some things that can't be explained and to learn to live with it. ;)
On another note, my mum was helping one of her friends fill in an online form just before. I just had to smile. :)

Hmm, so pau pau says Peter Parker (of Spiderman 2) reminds her of me. O_o huh? I can't see the resemblance though so yah :P Probably go watch it sometime next week if anyone is interested.
Watched "Once upon a time in Mexico" with Antonio Banderas on *ahempirateahem* DVD last night with Chris, Vanessa and Ed. Kinda a tough film on a Friday night when you don't want to think that much, especially the start of it (in Spanish nonetheless). Oh well, bit of an action movie always helps round the week out nicely :)
