Go to work at 8am, leave at 6pm
Go to work at 9:30am, leave at 6:15pm

I guess I should be going to work about 10:30 then... think I have finally caught up on most of the work though, hopefully no more late nights *sigh* One more day to the weekend... grrr :(

Further to finally getting business cards... there seems to be rumblings about another opportunity coming up for me :D more $$ down the drain? *rolls eyes*

It took all of 5 seconds to take away that I had actually been on holidays and not doing work for the past 4 days. Had a MPB training session today so most of the day was spent in a room receiving training but decided to go in earlier to the office (next door to the training, which doesn't help) to clear/check on some work. Found that what I asked nicely to be done wasn't done and then proceeded to stay till past 6:30pm (after the training finished early at 3:15pm) trying to play catch up. *sigh* The more things change, the more they stay the same. On a slightly better note, around 5 months after I started in this position, I now have business cards *rolls eyes*

Anyhow, Sydney was great. Didn't take many photos but will put them up at a later date (when I get them out of Jenny's camera :P) A brief account of what we did in Sydney. Finally met up with Alaysia at Darling Harbour on Friday night to have dinner at James Squire (still trying to figure out how one person could eat a full pork rib rack!) and Ice Cream followed by The Interpreter in George St. Saturday night was Karen and Nick's engagement party at Lowenbrau at The Rocks. Nice place and nice company. Sunday was a new experience, waiting 1.5 hours for a table at Chatswood for yum cha with my relatives.

Had a great weekend in Sydney and it was finally nice to get away on a workday and not have to do any work! :D Caught up with all the people that I had to catch up with: Karen and Nick, Alaysia, Cor and EG *thumbs up* Most satisfying weekend! :)

Grrr.... now I've lost some emails from my inbox. I'll never work this whole syncing thing out with the PDA. On a brighter note, I got my BT headphones from HP today. No more untangling wires. Bonus is that I got a charger to charge the headphones and PDA at work. :D Now just have to get that laptop they have been promising me. I'm turning into a techno-business worker little by little :P

Absolutely gorgeous day outside today. Had the day off and (apart from missing out on some (conflict) action at work, always good to see but not be part of *thumbs up*) enjoyed the fine weather. So looking forward to Sydney next weekend for Karen's engagement party and just generally to get away for a few days *double thumbs up*

Its sad when the President of Indonesia can speak better English than the Lord Mayor of Melbourne *rolls eyes*

Another week is finally over. I've come to a fork in the road, one that could mean I become everything that I despised about the public service, the lack of care, the "its not in my job description" attitude that would never survive anywhere else. *sigh* Such is life and I don't think I can lower myself to that level. There must be a way out of this.
