Unplanned Trip

Well, sorta. Have booked a trip to go back to HK for a week in November. Have some business to tie up there which requires a person to attend. Letters and faxes just won't cut it. Oh well. It's a good chance to get out of the office for a week (and still be paid). :D The bad part is that Jenny isn't coming with me :(

There's a saying that when you pay peanuts, you get monkeys. That is so true in many many ways when dealing with organisations. This past week has been pretty crap. There's just so much going on its hard to know what you are doing and where its all going, but eventually you figure it out, you're just another monkey. :(

The Weekend

Had a great weekend in Sydney, but now after being back at work for three days, it seems like its just a distant memory :( A brief recap (due to the crappy weather, there wasn't much photo taking) Below are the photos from my phone, must say it takes better pictures than my 3+ year old Sony Digicam :D

Friday
Went to the fish market. Discovered that we were really getting ripped off for seafood here in Melbourne :( Went by tram (trams that were made in Melbourne no less)




Saturday
Planned to go to Torronga Zoo in the morning and then the wedding in the late afternoon but woke up to pouring rain, so just went walking around trying to stay under cover at all times.

The wedding, and this was the view from the balcony/outdoor area. Luckily the wedding was fully indoor.


Walking back to the hotel after the wedding due the taxi that we found not wanting to take us there as apparently the "traffic is really bad that way" (another way of saying, you're going too short a distance so I can't rip you off enough). This is Sydney, right next to Darling Harbour at around 11pm on Saturday.... hmmm is that crickets I hear chirping? :P


Was right next to Chinatown so made a gelati stop at Gelatissimo. Flavour chosen was "Apple Pie" although it didn't taste anything like it :( All the gelati looked really nice though...

We're in Sydney this weekend for a wedding that is on tonight. Its absolutely friggen pouring outside at the moment. :(

Went walking at lunchtime into the GPO, found some interesting "art" They do have the best atrium area to allow them to do this.


Close up of the bird cages, a bit more variety in the colour of the birds would be nice.

Finally upgraded to current technology, mobile phone wise. I'm now the owner of a Nokia N73. Lots of pics to be taken at the wedding in Sydney next weekend, arrived just in time :)
