25 Days till Christmas

Tomorrow is the first of the office Christmas Parties that I will be attending. I'm not sure what to expect, except its at a bowls club... hmmm... well, guess I can find out what there is to do when I retire! :D

Double booked!

Invariably it was going to occur sooner or later, I've been double booked for tomorrow night and I can't decline either of the events. Its actually two events that occur one right after the other on opposite sides of the city, one a farewell and the other a birthday. Compounding the problem is that I won't have access to a car, so will need to depend on public transport to get from the office to the first event (no problems), first event to the second event (not much of a problem) and from the second event home (much of a problem). Will be getting my ticket's worth of travel tomorrow!

'Tis the Season

Next week is the start of the corporate Christmas party season. This year is looking to be an extended season although only 3 parties booked in so far, starting on the 1/12 and running till the 22/12 (some people obviously think that having a work-based party on the Friday before Christmas is a good thing *rolls eyes*)

Tonight, I finally managed to start writing my Christmas cards. I bought 2 packets a few weeks ago but have been putting it off to start writing them. Dunno why, just doesn't feel like Christmas yet, probably something to do with the crazy weather we have been having lately?

Can't get used to it...

After one week back into the "normal" swing of things, I'm still getting the whole "why did I have to come back" feeling. Maybe its me realising that one week of holidays is just not enough. Either that or its just work in general. Can't I just get paid but not come to work, or do any of it? Ok, I know that that is just asking for a bit too much. :D

(yes, its just monday-itis striking again, but lately its been lasting all week)

New Look... sorta!

After about 2.5 years of using the same template, I've decided to be boring and go with a "standard" blogger template. I wanted a change, but couldn't be bothered modifying the template and debugging. Its just so... 2004 :D

Global warming... hmmm, well its currently less than 10 degrees outside and today was colder than most winter days in Melbourne. Crazy I tell ya! This is especially hard to adjust to when I have come back from 25-30 degrees in Singapore and Hong Kong. Actually, it probably just sucks cos I have had to come back to work :D but I guess I have to turn up in order to get paid. *sigh*

Hong Kong trip was great. I'm glad I made the trip. Met up with heaps of people, stuffed my face so much that apparently I look fatter now. :D
