First tested by a school counsellor at the age of 13 and I was given an IQ score of 153. More recently, since completing university, I have scored 34 out 36 on Raven's Advanced Progressive Matrices, at age 43, during testing by an ACT Government Department, the Office of Training and Adult Education. This was completed within the 40 minute time limit. There has been considerable debate about how Raven's scores translate to IQ scores, although the test itself is considered to be the gold standard for assessing fluid intelligence at the higher levels, but a good analysis occurs on the Prometheus Society web site. The true score is likely to be at least somewhere between the 150 and 160 mark based on a standard deviation of 15. I have also scored 151 on the WAIS-III VIQ at the same age but have had variable results over the years due to some chronic pain problems that are now resolved.
