In these pages you find little excerpts from the diaries that I kept when I travelled overseas between 1981 and 1987. A sort of travel blog I guess. Some of my diaries were written in Spanish so I have had to translate them - my Spanish is not what it was once so I have often needed to refer to a dictionary to translate my own writings!

The above photo was shot in Perú in 1985 whilst on a two day jungle trek which included; building a 'balsa' or raft which promptly disintegrated, sleeping under a tarantula infested shelter and sampling the local aperitif 'gasolina' which was little more than pure alcohol!
