I can define much of my childhood through the books I read. They taught me about life, and allowed me to explore worlds outside my own. Now, as a 'big kid', I love nothing more than the adventure of writing for children and exploring the world through their tiny eyes.
I write stories for a variety of ages, and while my favourite is currently mid-grade novels, I also enjoy writing picture books and graphic novels. My stories are often emotive, with fantasy and other worldly elements, however I also enjoy humour. My illustrations range from highly textured and symbolic to light and playful, depending on the text.

"I believe that the only lastingly
important
form of writing is writing for children.
It is writing that is carried in the reader's heart for a lifetime;
it is writing that speaks
to the future"
