Prim 1 - Plate

Rez a Box.

General tab
Name: Plate

Rez a Box

Object Tab:
Change Building Block Type to Sculpted

Create default sculpted prim shape

Object Tab:
Sculpt Texture: plate

Apply plate sculpt texture to prim

Texture Tab:
Apply Surface Texture: plate
Texture Rotation: 90.0

Apply plate surface texture to prim

Alternatively, you can use a metallic texture, or just use plain colour and add Shininess for a ceramic effect.

Prim 2 - Apple

Object Tab:
Building Block Type = Sculpted
Sculpt Texture: leave as is
Size: X = 0.200, Y = 0.200, Z = 0.200

Create another default sculpted prim shape

Texture Tab:
Surface Texture: apple 1

Create default sculpted prim shape

Texture Tab:
Texture Rotation: 90.0 or 270.0, depending on the look you prefer for your apple's skin

Add apple Surface Texture to prim

Prim 3 - Apple Stem

Shift Copy the apple.

General Tab:
Name: Apple Stem
Object Tab:
Sculpt Texture: Stem
Size: X = 0.100, Y = 0.100, Z = 0.100

Apply stem Sculpt Texture

Texture Tab:
Surface Texture: apple stem

Position the stem in the centre of the apple, then link both items using Ctrl + L

Make some copies of your finished apple and position them on the plate.

Create more apples

Prim 4 - Banana

Rez a Box on top of the platter

Create another sculpted prim

Object Tab:
Building Block Type: Sculpted
Sculpted Texture: banana 1
Size: X = 0.200, Y = 0.200, Z = 0.200

Apply banana Sculpt  Texture

Texture Tab:
Surface Texture: banana

Apply banana 1 Surface Texture

Prim 5 - Orange

Rez a sphere on top of the platter.

Create a sphere

General Tab:
Name: Orange
Object Tab:
Size: X = 0.200, Y = 0.200, Z = 0.200

Use non-sculpted prim for orange

Note: don't need to make the orange sculpted :-)

Texture Tab:
Surface Texture: orange 2
Texture Rotation: 90.0

Apply surface texture to Orange

You have now made all the basic shapes for your fruit platter. Shift-Drag additional copies and arrange on your platter as you like.

Once you are happy with the arrangement of your fruit platter, select all the fruit prims and then the plate and link them together. For easier positioning, I have made the plate the root prim

Link all your fruit on the Platter

A nice fresh platter of fruit is ready for you. YUM!
