The Mighty Port Adelaide Football Club
Round 12
V
Port Adelaide
10.10 (70)
Carlton
15.14 (104)

Uh oh!  Is this the mid season slump we were fearing ? I hope not. It was really a midfield game and Carlton proved to have the stronger and quicker side on the day.  They just looked a lot hungrier than us.  And with talent like Kouta-mita-fides out front, it was a pretty tough task.

Some of the matchups were a bit strange like Kane Cornes (2 AFL Games) on Craig Bradley?  Why didn't Choco bring Wakelin on for the whole game instead of the last quarter?  When he came on he really held up Kouta well. Caaarrlton killed us with their height, especially Porter and Kouta, and their aggression when it was one on one.  I commend them on that!  We just have to really want it and it was a shame that some players looked like they were out for a Sunday stroll.

To put it in perspective, the umpiring was absolutely atrocious for both sides and it's no wonder they get the stick that they do.  A couple of injuries made things more difficult but some standout performances from Poulton, Carr and Wanganeen helped to redeem them a bit.  We have to win at all costs at Footy Park.  Come on, fellas, let's lift our game!

Highlight:
1) Wanga's 200th AFL game and he kicked 3 goals.

Lowlight:
1) The dopey bastard who started a bit of biffo with a happy Carlton supporter at the end of the game in Section R of Footy Park.  You scumbag!
