The Mighty Port Adelaide Football Club
Round 16
Brisbane Lions V Port Adelaide Power
Brisbane
13.16 (94)
Port Adelaide
8.12 (60)

It was something that was brewing since we thrashed Brisbane in the Ansett Cup Grand Final and it had to give.  This was the game where the Lions finally met us on their home turf and exacted their "revenge" if we can call it that. So on to the show.

We watched this game with friends ( Hi Fran & Mark ) and so there was a lot going on during the game so I choose to sum it up this way.

Q1: Brisbane looked real slick. We looked pretty scrappy

Q2: Started to pick up the pace but really lost the game here after Brisbane booted six unanswered goals. As good as finished... but you never know in this strange game.

Q3: Really started to make an effort to come back. Looked good for a bit, there.

Q4: Just trying to pick up the pieces in the face of a certain loss. End.

Then we fired up the Playstation.

So on to a highly anticipated game against Essendon at Football Park.  It would be great to have a win against the Bombers and it would also be great for me to look like Ricky Martin. I'll leave you to guess the chances of these things happening. Maybe we might take it in from the new grandstand?

Highlight:
1) Lynch's flying mark over Bassett. (C'mon, give credit where credit is due) It was pretty awesome and so was his overall performance.
2) Flash and Pacco being led off the ground on their team mates shoulders.

Lowlight:
1) Meady limping off. He is such a legend.
