Round 12
Port Adelaide Power V
Port Adelaide
23.16 (154)
Richmond
10.10 (70)

I can't say I was really pumped about this game because I felt a sense of calm even though part of me was saying that it could be tough considering the slagging they got in the press in the last week by their own coach. Not correct. We demoralised them.

Tigers snapped the first goal 30 seconds into the first siren and I found myself to be strangely calm, not getting anxious... like I knew something was going to happen. And then it happenned, 3 quick goals and the momentum has started. The umpiring turned out to be very inconsistent so there were a lot of upset supporters over some controversial holding the ball decisions...or lack of. Everyone was really having a go and Gavin really showed his form after being off for a week. Some of the centre breaks were incredible, really silky, and then a quick conversion.

This was really obvious in the second quarter when they kicked with the wind and just started bombing it in the directions of goals. Someone was obviously thinking about this when Matty decided to kick into the into the wind after the toss. And so the onslaught began. 9 goals to their one in the second term and it just kept going on in to the third term. There was no way they were going to come back and that's all, really. It was all over for them by the end of the second term.

It was great to see Tredrea being stood by Gaspar and really showing him up with some great marking and leads. Bit of aggro too when one of the Tigers got dragged into the goal post by one of ours and smacked his head. Quite a melee, I must say! I love to see Damien Hardwick niggling opposition players and getting in their faces. He does it so well. Stuey Dew booted a couple that really brought the crowds to their feet with generally excellent play all over the ground by all players. Special commendation to Brett Montgomery who just came from a minor knee operation 10 days before.

A great result to put us up top. Looking forward to the Western Bulldogs next week.

Highlight:
1) ..and Burgoyne kicks to Burgoyne... and it's a goal! Great game for Shaun Burgoyne.
2) Demolition job pummeling, our midfield killing them, top of the ladder, in fact, it pleases me so much I have included the ladder below.

Round 12 Ladder

Lowlight:
1) Isn't that holding the ball ?? Because it LOOKED LIKE HOLDING THE BALL TO MEEEEEEEE, YOU MAGGOT!!!!!!!! Get the drift.
