Formula One has been a passion since Adelaide won the right to host the 1985 Formula One Grand Prix and since 1993 I have been fortunate enough to participate in the role of Track Marshal thanks to S.A.M.R.O.A., the South Australian Motor Racing Officials Association. I have continued through to the Melbourne races in March of every year and contrary to popular belief, marshals have to pay their own way, accommodation and all related expenses. We get a packed lunch, bottle of water and a set of overalls. We are on our feet from 7:00am to 6pm for four days straight and we do it because we love our motor sport.

I have always been a photographer, not professional or anything, but know my way around a camera. In the position of marshal, we get access to areas that the public does not and over the years I have built up quite a collection of photo's.
