PEITAC is a volunteer non-profit organization. Our mission is to encourage volunteer participation for the Centre's activities to strengthen community inclusion in our Information Economy by enhancing computing skills in the community; and to provide Internet access and education.
Port Elliot Computing Centre has 12 PC's all running MicroSoft Windows 7 operating system with MS Office 2010, all networked together and linked to a fast ADSL internet connection.
We offer a range of computer courses, from 'Introduction to Computing' for the novice user and then include courese about Word Processing, 'Internet', 'E-mail', 'Spreed Sheets', 'Publishing' 'Digital Photography' and 'Powerpoint'. For current courses and times Click Here
The Centre is open to the public each Wednesday and Saturday from 10am to 12 noon, for internet access and use of the Centre's facilities. Internet access at $2 per hour. Staff are also available to assist.
Need to Print?.. We can help with printing and colour printing. Printing at 10 cents per page and colour at 50 cents per page.
Other services available at the Centre include copying, scanning, CD/DVD burning and a turn table for you to digitalize your favourite LP's.
