ARPA Choir at Resthaven, Paradise Gardens, S.A.

This is a very friendly four-part (SATB) community choir.

Musical Director - Daphne Harris
Deputy Director; Beth Green
Accompanist: Sue Nancarrow

The Choir welcomes all singers, but are particularly in need of (guess!) more tenors!
If you can't read music, it may help you to bring a small tape-recorder

Rehearsals take place weekly from 9.30am to 11.30am on Thursdays,
unless we have a performance that day.
The Choir also takes a 6 week break over Christmas/New Year.
Current members recommence on the last Thursday in January,
and there is a special practice for new members on the first Thursday in February

Rehearsals take place in the Theosophical Hall, 310 South Terrace, Adelaide.
This is next to the TPI building on the NW corner of South Terrace & Hutt Street,
opposite the Southern parklands.
Our thanks to ADELAIDE THEOSOPHICAL SOCIETY
for this comfortable and reasonably central location.

Performances: the Choir aims to give at least two concerts for seniors every month,
on weekday afternoons or mornings, at Retirement Homes and Community Centres.
The one-hour programmes are musically varied,
and selected to cheer and entertain. They include solo items & comedy acts.

What to wear
Ladies - tailored black trousers, black shoes (not sandals) & black stockings,
plain bright coloured blouse worn outside the skirt, sleeves to cover the elbow.
Gentlemen - plain dark suit, black shoes, white shirt, tie of your choice.

The concert schedule is set at the beginning of the year.
Since few members can guarantee to be at every performance,
this ensures that sufficient singers turn up for any one concert.

In addition to ARPA membership, each member contributes $3 per practice, 50c. if absent,
which helps with the accompanist's travel expenses.

To book a performance, or for further details,
please telephone Ruth, on 8431 3464 or
