Japan is in the Northern Hemisphere, as is a great deal of Asia.
However, much of Asia lies on or close to the Equator, and SE Asia is in the Southern Hemisphere.
Because the whole of Australia is in the Southern Hemisphere, Winter Solstice falls in June, Summer in December.
Our Spring commences in September, and our Autumn in March.
