1940's outfit For a 40th birthday party My friend Charlie decided to have a 1940s theme for her 40th birthday. Karen and I decided to go for a bit of a Casablanca feel. On a whim I decided to go for the Senor Ferrari look (though with a black suit) and made the fezz. The fez was modelled on a real (though now somewhat worse for wear) fez that I've had for years. The new one was buckram, overlaid with red felt. I transferred the tassle from the original fez to the new one. Karen made her outfit from a 1940's suit a pattern.
