I'm currently employed with the Victorian State Government dealing with vehicle leasing. Every time anyone in the office is away sick everyone asks them how the interview went I spent 10 years working in retail and am eminantly over it. Funnily enough the three years working for a particular call centre were the most enjoyable job I've had. For me it's very much about the people you work with not the job you do.
I grew up in what was the small town of Berwick in rural Victoria. With the urban sprawl being what it is the farms have become housing estates and Berwick and its environs are now some of the fastest growing areas in the outer suburbs of Melbourne. Personally I don't mind as I don't live there anymore but I do miss the familiar landmarks when I visit my parents or my younger brother & his family. I also have a huge fascination with history. Trying to trace the course of events has always been something that can keep me occupied for ages. My particular fondness seems to be for the late Victorian period (lots and lots of style there) or Roman history (very similar to current "civilisation" but with more honest politics). I've recently become involved with historical re-enacting involving a group representing the English Civil Wars. Sir Marmaduke Rawdon's Regiment of Foote.
