My outfit was quite simple. The basic cassock which is a full length robe that buttoned up the front and a Mozetta or short cape. These were both made of heavy black cotton drill with press-studs for most of the cassock. The cincture and the zucchetto (skull cap) were both red. The cincture had clips under the over-fold to hold it in place and was stiffened with canvas and made from thick cotton. Added to that was a crucifix I had picked up at an op-shop to complete the image. Very basic stuff. Certainly not an accurate reproduction of a Cardinal's vestments but it got the point across. |
