2005-2008 Since 2005 I have been drawing a weekly full-colour comic strip for Picture Magazine called Tales From the Pub. This involves illustrating a script provided by the editors to meet a strict weekly deadline. 1993-2008 For fifteen years I have been publishing my own comics and have published twenty three comics so far which I sell in most major cities in Australia and New Zealand. Some of these comics are in their third print run, and upon release my first trade paperback outsold all other trade paperbacks in its first month at Impact Comics in Canberra. 2008 I drew the poster for Canberra Living Artists Week, as well as provided illustrations for the program. I illustrated a children's book for Aussie Schoolbooks called Soggy Sadie. 2007 I designed a coin series for the Royal Australian Mint. This involved a number of designs as well as artwork for packaging and promotion. The coin series has spawned a range of soft toys, phone holders and badges based on my designs. I illustrated a children's book for UPC publishing entitled The Toilet Paper Ripoff. 2006 I won a facial expressions illustration competition and my image was published in the book Facial Expressions Babies to Teens. 2005 I featured in two comic art exhibitions
2004-2005 I contributed a regular cartoon to the monthly music magazine BMA. 2003 I had some comics published in Mania, and illustrated the Mania 2003 Diary. 1998 My comic art featured in the 14th International Exhibition of Drawings 14th International Exhibition of Drawings at the Museum of Modern Art, Croatia. 2008 I produced a regular animation for the ABC called Fatal Rage of Conflict. I provided all the animation which is done in pixel style. Eight two minute episodes were completed. 2000-2008 I worked for eight years as a character animator for 2K Australia (formerly Irrational Games). All my work has been in 3d Studio Max using both biped and CAT. Throughout our many projects I developed a good understanding of human movement. On Freedom Force and Freedom Force vs the Third Reich, I animated the movement of every character. Each game had roughly 30 characters each with about 60 sequences. On Tribes: Vengeance my job was to animate all the cutscenes. I animated roughly 30 minutes of cutscenes containing multiple characters. I recently did an enormous body of animation work on Bioshock including scripted sequences and in-game character animation, using both motion capture and keyframed animation. Apart from these finished games we have also worked on many unreleased game prototypes, using a variety of animation styles. 2000 Before I was interrupted with full time work at Irrational, I managed to produce an unfinished 6 minute solo project called Dave Spanner, and I have included a montage from it for download. 1998-2000 I worked for the ABC delivering several short 2D animated skits and fillers per week. Because of the tight deadline the animation was basic and I had to write material that used economical animation. I also did a small amount of keyframing for Brazilian online cartoon series Burundis. 1990s In the mid 90s I was one of ten selected out of two hundred applicants to attend the new AIE (Academy of Interactive Entertainment). My first computer game project was providing pixel drawn animation frames for sprites for the game series Warlords by SSG. Shortly afterwards I was recruited by Brilliant Digital Entertainment in Sydney where I worked as an animator for 18 months. Software
