Walking – Curra Moors Loop

MapThe Curra Moors Loop walk is also in the Royal National Park. Access is by car: Park at the Curra Moors Car Park on Sir Bertram Stevens Drive (there is a waypoint for this in the waypoint file).

The walk is a bit over 9km and will take about 3 hours at a leisurely pace, or less if you walk a bit faster. The walk is reasonably flat, mostly on fire trails or metal walkways.

You can do the walk in either direction, although see the note about Junction 4 if you do the walk in the “forward” direction.

Head out from the car park, going straight on at junction 1 if you are going clockwise, or turn right here if you are going anti-clockwise. Keep going straight at junction 2 (the fork here leads to the carpark signposted "Curra Moors Access Trail"). You might want to stop at junction 3 to take a look at Eagle Rock before heading back along the coast (partly on metal walkways). The track is a bit hard to find at Junction 4 if you are going clockwise. You want to turn right just past this sign. It doesn't look like there is a track there, but once you get past the bushes there is a very clear track.
