PILOT
As the country's most famous and prolific fast food company, Crispy Aussie Chook (C.A.C.) maintains the highest quality standards that its customers deserve. Unfortunately, their customers don't realise that they deserve tainted, genetically modified, and altogether non-chicken material in their 'Fun Fried Fancy' packs. As part of their new marketing strategy, C.A.C. is seeking a mascot that epitomises the essence of their company: country-fresh, with just a 'touch' of enhancement. One willing dupe has come forth, little realising just what is in store. The thing is, neither does C.A.C. Their latest money saver in using barmy British bovine in their 'Cheeky Chook Chunks' is about to hit a small, but very effective bump in the road.
The pilot for the series was funded by Film Victoria's Digital Media Concept Development, and has been accepted for screening in thirty festivals around the world, two of whom were kind enough to give the film an award. Take a look at the festival listing here.
"Too scary and dark for our demographic!" says Cartoon Network.
"It doesn't meet our service charter!" says SBS Independent.
"Hell, this looks like Robot Chicken! Is it?" asks Bardel.
Despite this, we continue to force it down people's throats wherever possible, including yours.
