Welcome. This site outlines my love for and experiences in restoring pinball machines, solid state (electronic) and electromechanical. I'm a recent convert to Pinball, having spent most of my youth (and money) on video games.

Links cover individual machines in my collection. I have also experimented with my own decals, cleacoating of playfields and remaking backglasses with scans.

I live in Adelaide, South Australia. Pinball machines in Australia sell for considerably more than a comparable machine in the USA. For example, a non-working Sinbad by Gottlieb in good condition recently sold for $910AU (about $640US). Expect to pay 20% - 40% more for most machines here in Australia than overseas. This is probably due to limited supply in Australia and shipping costs.

Thinking of importing a machine direct for the USA? A machine costing $1000 - $1500AU from the USA may end up costing another $1000AU by the time you have paid for shipping costs, customs etc.

Though it is becoming harder to pick up a machine locally in any condition "cheap", keep looking unless you have your heart set on a particular title and are willing to fork out the extra $$ for importing.

Besides, restoring a pinball machine can be as entertainig as playing it, plus you are helping to keep those older machines alive and safe from becoming extinct.
