Developing Concept Maps

• Write down major terms or concepts - each on a separate piece of paper or card

• sort and put to one side, terms not understood and those terms not directly related

• Arrange cards so topics or related concepts are close to each other

• Stick down when happy and draw lines between cards

• Write the nature of the relationship for each card

• Look at the cards put aside - where do they fit?
