"I never intended to kill her
. . . suddenly she went limp
and I realized she was dead."
I have only ever read two tiny
little pieces about poor old Luigi, so this is fairly brief.
I hope that someone out there recognizes the story and will
be able to email me absolutely any update at all on the
case.
Luigi Longhi was a lorry driver who lived in a town called
Padborg. I'm not really sure where Padborg was, but I think
it's in Denmark somewhere.
Luigi had a particularly bizarre fetish, he liked to shampoo
women's hair. He liked it so much that it seemed to be the
only way that he could become aroused.
So anyway, Luigi was driving his lorry through Germany one
day when he picked up a hitch-hiker called Heike Freiheit.
She must have liked Luigi because she ended up at his
apartment.
When they were at the apartment she learned of Luigi's
passion for hair washing. He gave a jolly good lathering on
their first night together. Once the bliss of the shampooing
had ended Heike fell asleep.
When she woke up she was tied up, gagged and had Luigi
running his soapy fingers through her hair once more. Luigi
certainly did like a good foam-up.
Eventually Luigi ran out of shampoo to use on his little
German hair model, so instead of doing what any rational
person would do (go down to the shops to get some more
shampoo) he decided to use stuff from around his flat. Over
the next few hours he rubbed cottage cheese, honey and even
salad dressing through poor Heike's scalp.
Somewhere along the way Luigi removed Heike's clothes
"because I wanted to see how she looked naked."
Unsurprisingly Heike began to tire of Luigi's foamy fetish
and started to stamp her feet on the floor, attempting to
alert Luigi's neighbors. But Luigi would have none of that.
He took a piece of rope, tied it into a noose, placed it
around her neck and strangled the last breathe from poor
Heike's body.
Left with the question of what to do with the corpse Luigi
chose to place in inside a wall cavity, plastering her up
for what he though would be eternity.
Unfortunately for Luigi in 1983 a repairman was called to
fix the roof of the building. Apparently he smelt something
rather bad in the wall. He decided to check it out and
discovered Luigi's secret.
Once arrested Luigi was studied by a team of psychiatrists.
They concluded that he had never had penetrative
intercourse. For him the only sexual pleasure seemed to be
from shampooing woman's hair. They found that he had started
out on his 'lathering' ways at the age of ten when he
started stealing shampoo bottles and wigs. As he grew older
he began to force woman to submit to his 'hair washing'
desires. He said that he had at least ten woman in the
Padborg area that allowed him to carry out these fantasies
on their hair and that he had never assaulted any of these
woman in any way.
On March 11, 1983, Longhi, who had pled not guilty, was
sentenced to psychiatric confinement for an indefinite
period.
And that's all I know about the guy.
