It always
amazes me at how many homosexual guys kill. I know that it's
the whole self hatred thing that sets a lot of them off, but
gays always seem so nice (if a little annoying) on TV.
Anyway, here's another gay that took vengeance on what he
hated most, himself and others like him.
David Villarreal was arrested in March, 1981, after police
were tipped off about his involvement in a murder. When in
custody David wasted no time in helping police out in their
investigations, even offering to take them to the body of
his last victim, killed just two days earlier. He also
admitted to a couple of crimes police never even suspected
him in.
Villarreal said that he began killing in San Antonio in
1974. He then struck again in Dallas around late '78. The
Dallas murder was one of a middle aged man that he beat to
death with a hammer.
In 1979 he was arrested in connection with the murder of
Ernest Garcia. Ernest had been stabbed with an ice pick,
then beaten with a concrete block. At the time police had no
real evidence to hold Villarreal, so he was released. He now
admitted to this murder.
One month after that close call David killed Charles Moya,
30, and Tony Gutierrez, 32. Both victims had their throats
cut by the not very loveable Villarreal.
After taking a bit of a break Villarreal took his hobby of
murder back up. On March 3, 1981 he beat Joe Duque, 18, to
death.
Five days later David struck again. This time hew used a
claw hammer to beat a 78-year-old man to death. Robert
Manley's body was discovered following the confession of
David Villarreal.
According to police the murders were a mixture of sexual
satisfaction and robbery.
I only used one source for this page, Michael Newton's
Hunting Humans (if you don't already own this book, go out
and try and pick up a copy as it truly is an invaluable
resource to all true crime buffs) , and it does not say what
punishment Villarreal received for his crimes, although I'm
assuming that it was life. If you know, feel free to e-mail
me.

MY OPINION
And now to the bit that always seems to piss people off. I’m
not going to bother talking about the crimes, as they pretty
much speak for themselves, and during this era there were
many ‘better’ homosexual guys pulling off much bigger
sprees, instead I’m going to rant about how fucked a society
it is when people are left feeling so angry and disgusted
with themselves that they need to act out this anger on
other members of society. Until we accept that some of us
are different, and that not every human is attracted to what
the bible says is acceptable, then murderers like Villarreal
will continue to strike. If we, as a society would open out
minds and just accept that some men like other men, maybe
they will be able to fell good about themselves, instead of
the loathing that so many are filled with. Well, there’s
that rant over with. Now go out and hug a homosexual.
