I saw Darren Hanlon live last night. Well actually, I supplied the PA for him and his band. It was a refreshing Wednesday night of laid back music. His songs are vivid and energizing with a touch of humour added to keep the mood light. The Venue was the cosy Funk Lush Cafe at The Coachwood and Cedar Hotel Uralla NSW. The perfect back room venue for those intimate performances that can help the artist get more in touch with thier fans. Playing to a packed house with even people opting to sit on the dance floor when the chairs ran out, Darren put on a top performance. If you get the chance to see Darren Hanlon, take the time to go along. It's not a life changing experience, but it is a nice evening out.
