The war on terrorism

Its hard to believe that there are countries in this world that will bow to terrorism. Its even harder to believe that there are countries that have so little regard for human life. What's worse is, like all races on this planet, there are those in every race who can be classed as "the good ones". Unfortunately they are always in the minority. But because of the majority, they too are labeled with the same stickers. Countries like Iraq just have no idea of humanity. They see everything in one way only, with no room left for compromise. That can be an admirable trait in some instances. But not when it comes to human life. These people will stop at nothing to achieve what they believe is right.
And the rest of the world is held at ransom. Some countries quickly retreating under the white flag when confronted with the ultimatums. Some countries vowing to stand their ground. The problem lies here. Until every country stands their ground, the war will never end. But there has to be a simpler way. Block off the country from the rest of the world. Give them nothing and take nothing. So what if they have a lot of oil. Its not much good to them if no-one can buy it from them. There has to be better ways to make these countries play fair with everyone else. The military approach does not seem to be working. Perhaps we can take a leaf out of their book. They love cutting things off. Lets cut them off from the rest of the world. Phones, newspapers, everything. Total isolation. It cant really effect us that bad. But it will take its toll on them in the long run.

Have you thought that they might have the same views about the rest of the world & just want to be left alone. In cutting them off, they then too acheive what they possibly could be wanting from us. Maybe they don't like being dictated to by us or the UN or the USA, about wether or not we think their views about life are correct or not. The ones who don't want to stay there get out when they can & come & live with us. We should let them in because it takes very brave people to do that. They choose not to follow the beliefs like we do. So maybe the right thing for humanity to do is leave them alone to live how they want to live. If they want to sell their produce to the rest of the world then yes, they do have to play by the rules. If we do nothing to them, they have no reason to retaliate. The polititians don't always tell the whole story as we are slowly finding out about this war on terrorism. They invaded with no real reason to invade other than they blew up two buildings & our people died. But we MUST remember how many of their innocent civillians died in the Gulf War in 1990 & also in this war. All around the world everyone has an opinion on what is good & bad for people based on a personal preference. Surely the democratic way to look at this is that they also have a right to live the way they believe is right for them, the same way we have the right to make that decision for ourselves. All people in all countries should have this choice. But I know that it doesn't happen that way in a lot of places. We are not God & we also have no right to be hypocritical of other people yet we are guilty of this everyday. That's all.

If you take another read of my original post, you will see that what I am trying to say is, there is no need for more deaths over what has turned out to be a farce war. I agree with you. Let them be. If we don't agree with thier way of life, then don't get involved with them. Let them take care of themselves. If they need us, then we can dictate terms. If they don't need us, leave them alone. If they invade someone like they did in Kuwait, then we have the right to kick ass. But this war was a total shit stink that should have been left alone without the proper evidence to back it. Thanks for your comments.
