Eddie's CNC Foam Cutting Page.


Some months ago I had decided to produce multiple copies of a RCHLG wings with the aim of selling some to finance my addiction..... yes RC gliding.

My fisrt thoughts were to produce a set of metal templates to cut the sections but when checking the costs of getting them wire cut I found that one set would cost $450 ....and since it was proposed to test a number of sections before producing a small run of kits it was decided that this wasn't the way to go.
A couple of nights later I was surfing the net and came across a web page that was offering parts of a CNC foam cutting machine for sale. Whilst the price apeared good I had my doubts as to the quality of what was being offered.
However I decided to buy the slides and controller card and build a machine.
