You know, there is more to LA than Disneyland.

If you wanted to see what the planet might be like when we run out of space, LA is the place to look.

LA's an attitude, a beast of a city, an economy of its own magnitude - a place where one extreme meets another in the street and passes by without incident. There is more, dear Horatio, in Los Angeles than one might dare to dream.

The editor said tobring back something we haven't heard about before - you know, like anything except the obvious.

So I spent a day looking at a Japanese garden and considering the relevance of megamall consumerism.

 

I'll tell you one thing about LA - there is some serious money about.

You can see it on the streets: big cars, big buildings, big diamonds on fingers with big nails, women with impossibly big breasts hanging off the arms of blokes with ridiculously big biceps. Amazing.
