This “blank” Rack Enclosure was designed by Adam Anderson in accordance with IEC-297. It is an example of the type of Enclosures designed at Contract I.T. Manufactured from 1.2 mm Zinc Annealed Steel with a Lime green finish, (it’s
a demonstration chassis) we can do other colours. The two side brackets can be used to mount the Enclosure in a standard 19 inch Rack or rotated 90 degrees to allow wall mounting although this is not recommended as you then lose the benefits gained when implementing a structured cabling solution.
This enclosure was designed to operate in a harsh underground mining application for Delta Automation. The chassis is
280x220x60mm approx and features: Support for up to two PC/104 CPU modules, 6 PC/104 modules in total, two 2.5inch Hard Disk Drives or Flash Disks, a customisable connector interface panel. High resolution LCD display on base of the chassis and mounting brackets. Locking connectors for Serial, Power, Keyboard and Mouse. Made from much sturdier 1.6mm Zinc Annealed Steel in a Black Finish.
