Hotel corridors are often lit for 24 hours a day, seven days a week and every week of the year – 8750 hours. Halogen dichroic downlights make an attractive downlight which suits the space, but which burns 35 or 50 watts to do so. Lasting for 3-5000 hours, these lights frequently need changing. Changing these several times year is an overhead and a hassle for a busy hotel.

Employing Greenled’s “Antares” 5 watt lamp, Blunsdon House hotel have lit their Pavilion corridor beautifully. Darren the facilities technician complains that he has never had a reason to check the bulbs in the corridors and fears for his job. (Mind you, talk like that and he is always welcome to work with Greenled!)

Replacing the corridor bulbs on only one floor has saved the hotel £6.42 a day in energy bills.
