KANESADA, HACHIYA ? late Muromachi period;

mei: mumei
sugata: tanto, hira-zukuri , torii-zori 0.4 cm, iori-mune.
nagasa: 29.8 cm, width at hamachi 2.8 cm, thickness at hamachi (kasane) 0.47 cm.
nakago: ubu, kuri-jiri tip, 2 mekugi-ana, mumei, higaki yasurime.
hamon: nie-deki suguha with ko-ashi.
boshi: ko-maru with long kaeri.
kitae: ji-tetsu of itame hada with good obvious grain (hadatachi) plus ji-nie. On ji is bo-utsuri. horimono: omote has bo-hi and ura has koshi-hi.

Wide tanto of late Muromachi period Mino-den. Possibly a late koto generation (kodai) Kanesada, but not confirmed. Hachiya Ha started around Bunmei era (1469+) with a Kanemasa, then at least four generations of Kanesada (兼貞 ) through late Muromachi.
