KANESADA (NOSADA), late koto period;

mei: omote: “Izumi”; ura (orikaeshi-mei, folded over) “Kami Kanesada”; ”
sugata: shinogi-zukuri, mitsu-mune, sori 0.91 cm, shortened large katana;
nagasa: 52.6 cm
nakago: suriage, one mekugi ana (two remnant holes from folded over nakago; partial hole at end), kiri yasurime;
hamon: gunome-choji with tight nioi and ko-nie, sunagashi and Sue-Seki style togari-ba;
boshi: midare-komi like ichimai, has sunagashi, and long kaeri;
kitae: itama hada mixed with masame, abundant ji-nie and chikei (black lines of nie), and slight shirake-utsuri;
