mei: “Yamashiro Kuni Ju Kaneuji” (gimei by Kanesaki?);
sugata: shinogi-zukuri, iori-mune, strong koshi-sori 2.55 cm;
nagasa: 69.7 cm; motohaba 2.97 cm, sakihaba 2.06 cm, kasane 0.81 cm;
hamon: gunome midare with nie-deki plus togari-ba and deep nio-guchi;
boshi: slightly pointed midare-komi with medium-long kaeri;
ji-tetsu: itame hada with good grain and abundant ji-nie;
nakago: ubu, two mekugi-ana, roku-ji mei, ha-agari kuri-jiri;

This katana is signed as “Kaneuji” but considered by Aoi Art to be “unreliable” and possibly to be by
Inshu Kanesaki and of late Muromachi period (1570’s).
