KANEFUSA late koto (K65): tanto

KANEFUSA, late koto period;

mei: “Kanefusa”.
sugata: tanto hira-zukuri, zori nil, iori-mune.
nagasa: 25.2 cm; width at hamachi 2.65 cm, thickness at hamachi (kasane) 0.52 cm.
nakago: ubu, kurijiri, 2 mekugi-ana, ni-ji mei.
hamon: nie-deki narrow base gunome midare and many togari-ba, wider towards kissaki, some tobi-yaki scattered.
boshi: gunome continues into boshi (midare-komi), ko-maru with nie and small kaeri.
kitae: jitetsu is itame hada with much ji-nie, some areas of coarse jigane.
horimono: bo-hi on both sides.
