KANEFUSA late koto (K66): tanto

KANEFUSA, late koto period;

mei: “Kanefusa”.
sugata: tanto hira-zukuri, sori of 0.3 cm, iori-mune.
nagasa: 28.4 cm; width at hamachi 2.76 cm, thickness at hamachi (kasane) 0.43 cm.
nakago: ubu, rounded kiri tip, 1 mekugi-ana, ni-ji mei.
hamon: ko-nie based, large irregular gunome midare with togari-ba and squarish gunome (hako), some ko-ashi, also tobiyaki scattered.
boshi: wide midare-komi, ko-maru with nie and long kaeri.
kitae: jitetsu is very tight ko-itame hada with small ji-nie, there is utsuri on jitetsu.
horimono: bo-hi on both sides into nakago (kaki-nagashi).

There are a number of KANEFUSA, this one is of Kanefusa Ha late Muromachi (Sue-Koto) kodai (later generation).
