KANEMOTO (shodai) mid Mino (K73): katana

KANEMOTO, late koto mid Mino period;

mei: “Kanemoto”.
sugata: katana shinogi-zukuri, koshizori of 2.0 cm, iori-mune.
nagasa: 69.8 cm; width at hamachi 2.98 cm, thickness at hamachi (kasane) 0.70 cm,
width at kissaki 1.84 cm.
nakago: ubu, kata yamagata tip, 1 mekugi-ana, ni-ji mei, hidari suji-chigai yasurime.
hamon: konie-deki and nioi-deki, kogunome midare with irregular sanbonsugi, flatter towards hamachi, some togariba upper half, some shirake-utsuri.
boshi: longish chu kissaki, midare-komi some hakikake with small kaeri.
kitae: jitetsu is itame hada with jinie and chikei.

Strong shape curved katana of middle Muromachi period, which has features of shodai Kanemoto (hamon and mei).
