KANEMOTO, late koto late Mino period;

mei: “Kanemoto”.
sugata: tanto hira-zukuri, straight no sori, iori-mune.
nagasa: 29.2 cm; width at hamachi 2.88 cm, thickness at hamachi (kasane) 0.54 cm.
nakago: ubu, rounded ha-agiri kurijiri tip, 1 mekugi-ana, ni-ji mei, yasurime looks like higaki.
hamon: nie-deki, kogunome midare with semi-regular sanbonsugi pattern.
boshi: ko-maru to slight jizo with some hakikake and small kaeri.
kitae: jitetsu is itame hada with shirake style utsuri.
horimono: futasuji-hi on both sides.

Large tanto of late Muromachi period, which has features of shodai Kanemoto (hamon and mei) but not confirmed.
