KANEMOTO (nidai-sandai?) late Mino (K77): katana

KANEMOTO, late koto period;

mei: “Kanemoto”.
sugata: katana, shinogi-zukuri, koshi-zori of 1.5 cm, iori-mune.
nagasa: 65.7 cm; width at hamachi 3.34 cm, thickness at hamachi (kasane) 0.75 cm,
width at kissaki 2.37 cm.
nakago: ubu, kata-yamagata tip, 1 mekugi-ana, ni-ji mei, yasurime is higaki.
hamon: konie-deki and nioi-deki, gunome midare and togari, with sunagashi yakidashi, muneyaki on back of kissaki. In ha is much ashi, kinsuji and sunagashi.
boshi: slightly long kissaki, boshi is midare-komi with hakikake, small kaeri.
kitae: jitetsu is itame hada with good grain, much jinie and shirake utsuri.

Wide katana, well made, of late Muromachi. Mei looks like sandai, but blade has many features of nidai Kanemoto (Magoroku).
