KANEMOTO (mumei) late Mino (K80): wakizashi

KANEMOTO, late koto period;

mei: mumei.
sugata: wakizashi, shinogi-zukuri, torii-zori of 1.1 cm, iori-mune.
nagasa: 48.5 cm; width at hamachi 2.76 cm, thickness at hamachi (kasane) 0.63 cm, width at kissaki 2.10 cm.
nakago: osuriage, kiri tip, 2 mekugi-ana, mumei.
hamon: nie-deki in narrow gunome midare with togariba, in regular sanbonsugi. Some sunagashi and ashi in ha.
boshi: longish chu-kissaki, midare-komi with jizo and small-medium kaeri.
kitae: jitetsu is itame hada with obvious grain plus many chikei.

Wide shape wakizashi which has been shortened quite a bit. Sue Seki work of late Muromachi, attributed to kodai Kanemoto (later generation).
