KANEMITSU late Mino (K85): wakizashi

KANEMITSU, mid-late Muromachi period;

mei: “Kanemitsu”.
sugata: wakizashi, shinogi-zukuri, torii-zori of 0.9 cm, iori-mune.
nagasa: 52.7 cm; width at hamachi 2.88 cm, thickness at hamachi (kasane) 0.69 cm,
width at kissaki 2.14 cm.
nakago: suriage, kiri tip, 3 mekugi-ana, ni-ji mei.
hamon: nie-deki suguha with many ashi and yo.
boshi: chu-kissaki, ko-maru and small-medium kaeri.
kitae: jitetsu is itame hada with obvious plus much ji-nie and some masame mixed. On ji are some shirake utsuri.

Wide shape wakizashi little sori, which has been shortened and machi-okuri. Sue Seki work of mid-late Muromachi. May be shodai of Meio (1492+) to Bunki (1501+), and work looks like a Bizen Kanemitsu.
