KANENORI (NOSHU) late koto (K89): sunnobi tanto

KANENORI, late Muromachi period;

mei: “Kanenori saku”
sugata: sunnobi tanto, hira-zukuri, torii-zori of 0.6 cm, iori-mune.
nagasa: 37.2 cm, width at hamachi 2.79 cm, thickness at hamachi (kasane) 0.58 cm.
nakago: ubu, fuka-kurijiri, 1 mekugi-ana, san-ji mei, higaki yasurime.
hamon: konie-deki gunome midare plus togari-ba and shirake-utsuri on ji-tetsu. Also many long ashi, small sunagashi and kinsuji.
boshi: slight long kissaki, midare komi and small kaeri.
kitae: jitetsu is itame hada with chikei.
horimono: both sides have kakitoshi hi.

Wakizashi/sunnobi tanto of late Muromachi period. Within the Seki Sanami Ha and continued into the Shinto.
