Iyeyoshi (Kashu)

IYEYOSHI katana, late koto;

mei: “Kashu Fujiwara Ju Iyeyoshi Saku”
sugata: katana, shinogi-zukuri, iori-mune, chu kissaki, strong sori 2.11 cm;
nagasa: 70.0 cm; motohaba 3.12 cm, sakihaba 2.08 cm, kasane thickness 0.75 cm;
nakago: ubu, one mekugi ana, hachi-ji mei, ha-agari kuri-jiri;
hamon: gunome midare with niedeki, and choji midare mixed in; much sunagashi towards kissaki;
boshi: much nie with hakikake;
jitetsu: itame hada, with good grain, abundant ji-nie plus shirake utsuri in the ji,
with many kinsuji and sunagashi scattered through the ha;

Early Muromachi period katana, with elegant shape and much work.
Mei seems unusual to have “ju” after “Fujiwara”, and not after “Kashu”.
