KANEFUSA late koto (S30): katana

KANEFUSA, late koto period;

mei: “Kanefusa”.
sugata: wakizashi, machi-okuri, or could be described as sunnobi tanto, sakisori of 0.8 cm, iori-mune.
nagasa: 37.8 cm; width at hamachi 2.65 cm, thickness at hamachi (kasane) 0.44 cm.
nakago: ha-agari kurijiri, 2 mekugi-ana (one plugged), ni-ji mei, higaki yasurime.
hamon: konie-deki, nioi-deki, regular small gunome midare almost in sanbonsugi pattern similar
to some later Kanemoto.
boshi: midare-komi with very little kaeri.
kitae: jitetsu is itame hada with good grain and jinie.
horimono: omote has short futasuji-bi, ura has koshi-bi.

A very long tanto style blade of early Edo, and not typical features of Kanefusa Ha.
