KANESADA, early Edo period;

mei: mumai
sugata: wakizashi, shiogi-zukuri, koshi-zori 1.5 cm, iori-mune.
nagasa: 59.4 cm, width at hamachi 2.88 cm, thickness at hamachi (kasane) 0.61 cm,
width at kissaki 1.96 cm.
nakago: ubu, ha-agiri kuri-jiri tip, 1 mekugi-ana, mumei, suji-chigai yasurime.
hamon: nie-deki irregular gunome midare some togari-ba
boshi: chu kissaki, pointed midare-komi, medium kaeri.
kitae: jitetsu is itame hada with good grain, some mixed mokume and ji-nie.

A long wakizashi of good sori of early Edo period. Attributed to Kanesada 兼定, some tosho continued
to work in Seki (Noshu group).
