hamon: notare-ba with mixed gunome midare, undulates with deep nioi-guchi;
boshi: slightly pointed ko-maru with long kaeri;
kitae: ko-itame hada with ji-nie and chikei;
nakago: ubu, one mekugi ana, go-ji mei;
omote horimono: bo-hi (short is koshi-hi);
ura horimono: two short grooves (gomabashi-hi); Buddhist sanskrit characters;

This blade is probably by the third son of Seki Kanemichi and in the early shinto.
He lived in Fushimi, Yamashiro until around Kanei 12 (1635). He is the shodai Tanba no Kami Yoshimichi.
He was called Hokake Tanba; "hokake" means sail in the wind, following his "TAN" kanji.
The shodai developed astyle of o-midare hada with heavy sunagashi; this developed into sudare-ba.
His first son stayed in Kyoto, but the following three moved to Osaka.
