Repairing your power window switches



Step 1: Remove the window switch from the car.

Step 2: Open the switch by gently prying it open at the four clips near the base (circled).
             Note the orientation (arrowed).





Step 3: If required, the bulb can be replaced. Make sure the indicated (arrow) lead is insulated.





Step 4: You can move the switch contacts by pressing down on the bars with your fingernail.





Step 5: Use a thin piece of cardboard with a drop of CRC or WD40 to polish the four contacts.





Step 6: Reassemble the switch.
