Since I'm in a writing mood I thought I'd do a little on some of the other Idol finalists I particularly liked. You know I dig Guy most, then Paulini, Cosima, Lauren, but there are a few other memorables who I enjoyed watching on the show.

Now Stu didn't actually make it into the top 12 but I think he's cool anyway. ^_^. I never saw him until the Grand Final night but I have his songs on my computer. (Actually, I think he was an interviewer once, asking people their fave Idol?) He's got a good strong voice, a lot like Tom Jones.
From what little I have seen of him, I think he would have been a fun guy to have had in the Idol house; would have made things interesting. On stage he's a dynamo - just exuding energy and enthusiasm, moving endlessly. It's very cool. ^_^. His was certainly the best performance in the Final outdoor concert. I really love his 'Whisper your name' and 'Hard to handle'. Stu got brought back for the Wild Card, but unfortunately didn't make it though. :(
Stu also has a little boy named Thomas. Awww. ^_^.

I didn't see much of Peter at all, but I really like the look of him. He's got the coolest grin; it might sound funny but he looks like a really nice guy just from his smile. And he can surely sing; he has a lovely voice. I don't know how old he is but he seems older than most of the finalists, more of an adult.

It's weird; I didn't really like Bek while she was on the show - I didn't really see her at her best - but I came to like her a lot. She seems like a really beautiful and sweet person. And she is so stunning-looking; I guess she's the best-looking Australian Idol contestant of them all.
Bek's specialty is that kind of heartfelt, deep, soulful stuff like 'Killing me softly' and 'Shoop' and 'Heading in the right direction'. She always sings like she means it. Her 'Shoop' was just the coolest. Bek got in on the Wild Card section of the show (well, before she was in the group with Shannon and Guy, so it woulda been kinda hard to get in there ^^.).

Ah, Guy's rival. ^_^. Even when I was worried about him maybe beating Guy for the first place, it's absolutely impossible to dislike Shannon. ^_^. Kelly said "he doesn't have a mean bone in his body". He just exudes cool. He always seems very calm and laid-back and quietly confident, and he has a great sense of humour; he's given some good lines throughout the show. ^_^.
Though at first I was disappointed that Paulini wasn't in the top two, I was soon reconciled to it because the dynamics between Shannon and Guy were so cool to watch; they're two fun guys and their friendship is a nice thing to see.
I really liked Shannon's style of music; nearly all the songs he chose were songs I really liked, or came to like. The only bad song choice he made was probably 'Hey Jude' and maybe 'Please forgive me', but mostly he did a great job of picking songs to suit him, that he could deliver well.
As the runner-up for Australian Idol, Shannon's got himself a recording contract also, which is a Good Thing. ^_^.
