Name: Guy Sebastian

Age: 22 (was 21 when he started in Idol)

Birthday: October 26 (the same day as Idol's Big Band night!)

Title: Australian Idol ^_^.

Location: based in Sydney and Adelaide (Golden Grove) where his family is. Now travels heaps though (unfortunately for us Adelaideans ^_^.).

Family: three brothers (one older, two younger) and a sister-in-law. His mother has an English/Portugese background and his father is Sri Lankan/Portugese.

Background: Born in Malaysia; moved to Melbourne when 6, moved to Adelaide when 10.

Relationship status: Dating a lovely girl named Julie, who he dated for over three years, broke up with during Idol, then started dating again. I believe he once said he wrote 'All I need is you' about her. Is famously a virgin, by choice, which is a good example, and which everyone knows because the media goes on about it ad infinitum and continually asks him insultingly personal questions in breach of all good manners and respect for privacy! (Sorry, pet peeve. ^^.)

Religion: Christian (^_^.), went (goes?) to Paradise

Interests: sport (cricket, golf), music (writing, arranging, listening, playing, singing), motorbike, church

Plays: violin, piano, drums, guitar (at varying levels of competance, I think)

Previous jobs: part of Christian rock band/youth conference Planet Shakers, recording engineer, teaching singing in high schools (Temple, Gleeson...), retirement home caterer

Education: did part of a degree in medical radiation (found it too depressing), then did Music Technology at Adelaide Uni (I think he cut it short to go on Idol?)... high school at Kings Baptist College... went to Lilydale Primary before moving to Adelaide.

Non-musical talents: apparently an A-grade cricketer, a mean breakdancer, and does some great accents and impersonations ^_^. He must be a pretty smart cookie to be doing medical radiation too.
